Luisa Marion

Violin Instructor

 

 

 Violinist Luisa Marion is active as a performer, recording artist, studio musician, and teacher throughout Middle Tennessee. She is comfortable teaching in multiple styles, including Classical, jazz, fiddle, improvisation, and commercial music, and performs at diverse venues in Nashville and surrounding areas, both as an instrumentalist and as a vocalist.

Luisa is in her senior year as a Music Industry major with an emphasis in violin performance and pedagogy at Middle Tennessee State University. At MTSU, she performs as a soloist and leader in the Symphony, the Chamber Orchestra, the Opera Orchestra, string chamber groups, and the Free Improvisation Ensemble, as well as assisting in faculty recitals.

She was a 2020 finalist in the Tom Naylor Memorial Solo Artist Competition.

Luisa received her Suzuki Certification at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

 She grew up within the Suzuki program and began playing at the age of five, and since then music has remained a focal part of her life. Her teaching method involves finding fun and creative ways to learn, practice, and perform violin in a positive and creative environment which fosters love and appreciation for music and the process of learning.

 In addition to her private violin studio in the Murfreesboro area, she also teaches with Ethos Youth Ensembles and Lane music.

 As a native of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Luisa enjoys painting, drawing, dancing and going for hikes in her free time!
