MUSIC LESSONS
Carpe Artista offers Music Lessons for ALL ages in: Drums, Piano/Keys, Voice, Guitar, Songwriting, Bass Guitar, Fiddle, Violin, Ukulele and Cello
GUITAR LESSONS: (for ages 6 and older)
Our guitar teachers teach all music styles. Beginner students can expect to work on proper position and technique, chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance each lesson with a technical or theory concept, but also ends with something fun.
PIANO LESSONS: (for ages five and older)
Our piano teachers teach a variety of styles from classical to popular music. Our piano instructors will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, but they will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You don’t need to have a piano at home to take lessons, a simple electronic keyboard with full size keys will work fine.
DRUM LESSONS (for ages six and up)
Our drum instructors teach many styles. Drum language can be complex and our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of technical exercises designed to improve speed and comfort. Students use our drum set at their lessons and do not have to bring anything except their drumsticks and a notebook.
VOICE LESSONS (for ages six and up)
Our voice teachers primarily focus on popular music. If you are interested in improving your performing voice for musicals, school performances, etc. that is also an option. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. We not only teach singers, but also local TV and radio personalities who want to enhance their speaking voices.
VIOLIN/FIDDLE (for ages 6 and up) What’s the difference between a violin and a fiddle? Book a trial lesson and find out! Our instructors range in styles from bluegrass to Suzuki classical with years of teaching and performance experience. Lessons are catered around each individual student’s interests and abilities in a patient, welcoming environment.
CELLO (for ages 6 and up) Learn from an accomplished teacher and performer with a background in classical performance as well as years of teaching experience. Lessons develop basic technique as well as theory, repertoire and aesthetic.

We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues, musical theatre and classical.
3 – ARE YOUR INSTRUCTORS QUALIFIED?
We believe that those who DO make the best teachers, so we primarily employ working musicians to teach Carpe Artista lessons, classes and camps. Our team includes Grammy Award winners, excellent local high school teachers, writers of #1 hits, and touring musicians and singers.
4 – WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE AN INSTRUMENT?
We have many instruments to rent. Indicate your need when you register for lessons.
PRIVATE LESSON RATES:
$25 for a single trial lesson
Monthly lesson membership is $125 for half hour lessons
Master Classes are available – request rate information
Annual enrichment fee of $35
Lessons are available Monday – Friday 9:00am – 8:00pm (subject to availability).
